Rainforest Alliance Certification?

Customers in the global market for specialty coffee are increasingly seeking out coffee that has internationally recognized certification of quality and sustainable agricultural practices.

In 2024, JNP Coffee began to train farmers and wet mill managers on the best practices promoted by the Rainforest Alliance for the cultivation and processing of specialty coffee. The RFA certification process includes a quality audit across the coffee’s supply chain, with on-site visits to coffee farms and washing stations.

Once they earn this certification, these valued partners of JNP Coffee expect their coffee will sell at higher prices to a broader range of customers. In turn, they will train others in their local operations to meet these high standards and encourage youth to find careers in the coffee industry.
