In the mountains of my country, the warm sunny days, cool nights and rich volcanic soil nurture the heritage coffee plants of Burundi—plants that grow the way they have always grown, without genetic modification or pesticides. Here the small shareholders, mostly women, care for the coffee and ensure its distinctive quality.

• Join us for a cupping of these small-production, award-winning coffees.

  • Bourbon Cultivar known for sweetness and body

  • Heritage plants with fruit, floral and honey notes

  • Citrus notes that are the result of wet fermentation

• Learn about the women (and some men) who produce coffee and how our “Dushime” program is transforming lives and shifting social norms in Burundi.
